Consistent with this hypothesis, Pearson’s analysis were performed and demonstrated that CHOP MFI on CD4+ lymphocytes was negatively correlated with CD4+ T lymphocyte count and positively significantly correlated with LC3II and P62 expression in all the sepsis patients (r=-0.672, P<0.001; r=0.657, P<0.0001 and r=0.811, P<0.001 respectively), elderly sepsis patients (r=-0.616, P<0.001; r=0.644, P<0.0001 and r=0.710, P<0.001 respectively), and non-survived elderly sepsis patients (r=-0.687, P=0.028; r=0.897, P<0.001 and r=0.772, P=0.00 respectively) (Figure 2).
