In model 1, markers of liverfibrosis (FIB-4 and NFS respectively), diabetes duration, sex, pO2, GGT,ferritin, C-peptide and SHBG were used as independent variables, in model 2 BFMwas added (as these parameters were identified as significantly correlated withEATT in the bivariate analyses), while in model 3 a full adjustment was done withwaist, HbA1c and HOMA-IR (instead of C-peptide) added as independent variables. The same was done for the markers of liver steatosis (FLI and HSI, respectively),except that ASAT was used instead of GGT. This evidence concerns the gene ABCB7 and fatty liver disease.
