CRP and Obesity: The results of this study revealed significant pairwise associations betweeninflammatory markers (NLR and CRP levels), obesity, and depressive symptoms.Following the adjustment for covariates, CRP levels were identified as asignificant mediator in the association between obesity and depressive symptoms.Subgroup analyses indicated that the mediating effect of CRP was weaker in womencompared with men, suggesting that sex differences may influence the interactionsbetween inflammatory markers, obesity, and depressive symptoms.
