Given that aberrant 1p‐Enh activity and CYP4B1 expression are implicated in both cardiac remodeling and tumorigenesis, these findings suggest that smoking-induced dysregulation of the 1p‐Enh/CYP4B1 axis may contribute to HF–LC comorbidity. This evidence concerns the gene CYP4B1 and laryngotracheoesophageal cleft.
