TFEB and cardiomyopathy: We tested Tg(cmlc2:tfeb), a transgenic fish line with cardiomyocyte‐specific overexpression of tfeb (Kim et al. 2021), and found that the Tg(cmlc2:tfeb) transgene effectively rescued cardiomyopathy‐like phenotypes including increased ventricular chamber size, damaged myocardium structure, reduced cardiac function, shortened lifespan, and re‐activation of fetal gene programs in the bag3e2/e2 mutant fish (Figure 1A–F).
