DKK1 is a key regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway and plays a role in cellular proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.[10,11] LRP6 binding inhibits signal transmission and this interaction is considered an important regulatory mechanism in various types of cancers and fibrotic diseases.[11,12] Moreover, its similar binding affinity for CKAP4 suggests that it may exert its effects through different receptors on the cell surface.[13,14] These findings indicate that DKK1 may serve as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in pathological conditions.[9,14]. This evidence concerns the gene LRP6 and cancer.
