Worse OS in the SCAN-B and METABRIC datasets was associated with elevated NSUN5, YBX1, and YBX2 expression (OR: 3.03, 1.63, and 1.5, respectively), while ALYREF levels were only associated with worse survival in SCAN-B (Fig. 2N–Q and Supplementary Fig. S5A–D). Here, NSUN5 is linked to spinocerebellar ataxia, autosomal recessive, with axonal neuropathy.
