Suspicion of malignancy is primarily based on radiological findings and elevated levels of tumour markers, such as CA 125, human epididymis protein 4 (HE4), cancer antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), ß-human chorionic gonadotropin (ß-hCG), α-fetoprotein (AFP), and lactate dehydrogenase [21,22].
