GZMK and asthma: Deletion of Gzmk in T cells resulted in reduced numbers of neutrophils, eosinophils, CD4 T cells, dendritic cells and macrophages in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) in mice with asthma (12), This suggests that Gzmk is essential not only for the recruitment of neutrophil, but also for the recruitment of type 2 immune cells, likely due to chemokines and C3a produced locally (12).
