In T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), a phase I/II trial demonstrated that 5-aza combined with vitamin C significantly induced apoptosis in TET2-silenced cells by re-expressing TET2 and upregulating endogenous retroviruses (HERVs), thereby enhancing immunogenicity (Bensberg et al., 2021). Here, TET2 is linked to T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
