To date, one study on ADCK5 hinted a role in invasion andmigration of lung cancer cells through the SOX9 (family of SRY-relatedhigh-mobility-group box factor)-PTTG1 (pituitary tumor transforminggene-1) pathway. Moreover, some otherstudies have inferred a role in phosphorylating Tau protein and cholestatic intestinal injury. Furthermore, its paralogs ADCK1–4 havebeen noted to play essential roles in coenzyme Q10 biosynthesis, mitochondria dynamics, cancers, and psychiatric disorders. This evidence concerns the gene ADCK1 and lung cancer.
