Other mechanisms contributing to the pathogenesis of psoriasis include inflammation-associated keratinocyte death (necroptosis), altered STAT1 signaling, and upregulation of several chemokine genes such as C-C chemokine receptor type 7 (CCR7), C-C motif ligand 2 (CCL2), CCL19, CXC motif chemokine ligand 8 (CXCL8), CXCL1, and CXCL2 [107,108,109]. This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and psoriasis.
