While NTRK fusions occur at extremely low frequencies (<1%) in GIST, this case highlights the clinical potential of TRK inhibitors (e.g., entrectinib) for overcoming imatinib resistance in molecularly selected patients.Based on the above, the integration of NGS and liquid biopsy has revolutionized the molecular profiling of GIST, enabling the detection of rare mutations and early identification of secondary resistance mechanisms. Here, NTRK1 is linked to gastrointestinal stromal tumor.
