ROC curve analysis of STARD4-AS1 in the serum of 129 patients with GC demonstrated an AUC of 0.848 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.801–0.895), surpassing traditional markers CEA (AUC: 0.718, 95% CI, 0.654–0.783), CA199 (AUC: 0.718, 95% CI, 0.654–0.781), and CA724 (AUC: 0.743, 95% CI, 0.682–0.805) (Figure 3a). This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and gastric cancer.
