The recent study FLAURA2 (Planchard et al., 2023) that compared osimertinib combined with chemotherapy to 1st-G TKIs monotherapy revealed that the osimertinib regimen presented a significant improvement in progression-free survival (PFS) (25.5 months vs. 16.7 months) among patients with advanced NSCLC and EGFR mutations. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
