These genes are involved in the regulation of cell cycle (CCND1, CDCA5, FOSL1, KDM2A, NUMA1, RHOD), apoptosis (FADD, ORAOV1), or the DNA damage response (DDB1, KAT/TIP60, MUS81, PACS1, RPS3), and several have been implicated in the HPV lifecycle and/or HPV-associated cancers [40–47].
