A transient spike in the accumulation of NbAGO2 transcripts is observed at early stages of infection (3–5 days post-inoculation, dpi) at both 21 and 27oC, but a concurrent spike in the accumulation of AGO2 protein is only observed in plants that later recovered from infection (i.e., at 27oC but not at 21oC) suggesting that post-transcriptional regulation of NbAGO2 expression occurred [30]. The gene discussed is AGO2; the disease is infection.
