Hydroxy‐1,2,3‐triazole derivatives 6, 7 have shown promising biological activities, including antileishmanial effects,[95] activity against the F508del cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) mutation (the most common cause of cystic fibrosis),[96] and antiviral properties against Zika and Chikungunya viruses.[97] Compounds 6a, 6b, and 7 exhibited synergistic effects in combination with clinically approved drug VX‐661 or the treatment of cystic fibrosis. This evidence concerns the gene CFTR and cystic fibrosis.
