MAOB and Alzheimer disease: Compounds 33a with dimethoxy substituent (Aβ aggregation IC50: 7.56 μM, MAO‐A IC50: 8.19 μM, MAO‐B IC50: 12.16 μM, AChE IC50: 36.04 μM) and 33b with two hydroxyl groups (Aβ aggregation IC50: 6.51 μM, MAO‐A IC50: 7.08 μM, MAO‐B IC50: 14.09 μM, AChE IC50: 6.27 μM) were identified as potential lead compounds for AD treatment.[166]
