CD274 and cancer: 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) is a noninvasive molecular imaging method widely used in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of LA-NSCLC.6,10,11 Previous studies have shown that glycometabolic rearrangements (aerobic glycolysis) and immune evasion are two hallmarks of cancer.12,13 Moreover, PD-L1 expression has a bidirectional positive feedback relationship with glycolysis status.13,14 Thus, 18F-FDG PET/CT, which can reveal glycolysis status, holds significant promise for predicting PD-L1 expression.
