Given that IGFBP-3 is the most abundant IGFBP among all six IGFBP members in potentiation of IGF action and PI3K/AKT activities (Conover et al., 2000) and a reduced expression of IGFBP-3 mRNA level is associated with progression to cervical cancer (Serrano et al., 2007), we further investigated the effect of lnc-FANCI-2 on the expression of IGFBP3 as a lnc-FANCI-2 effector gene. The gene discussed is IGF1; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
