Prior work from our lab has demonstrated that MPs delivering antigen alongside the immunomodulatory cue – rapamycin (rapa) – drives efficacy in multiple pre-clinical models of autoimmune disease.17,18 Treatment in these models is antigen-specific and results in a shift of T cell phenotypes towards regulatory T cells (Treg) that play a key role in efficacy. The gene discussed is TRERF1; the disease is autoimmune disease.
