In contrast, adenocarcinoma exhibited mutational enrichment in TP53-regulated apoptosis, such as positive regulation of DNA damage response, signal transduction by the p53 (tumor suppressor protein coded by TP53 gene) class mediator, and positive regulation of the signal transduction by p53 class mediator, suggesting a survival advantage under therapeutic pressure (Figures 3B, C). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is adenocarcinoma.
