Large-scale genomic analyses of human cancers identified mutational hotspots in the XPO1 gene and also recurrent heterozygous XPO1 mutations in a variety of cancer types, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and esophageal carcinoma [31]. The gene discussed is XPO1; the disease is B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
