Similarly, in C.B-17 SCID mice with IBD induced by intraperitoneal 4 × 105 CD4 + CD45RBhi T-cell injection, oral administration of S. boulardii reduced colonic inflammation, which was associated with decreased colonic NF-κB activity and lower expression of proinflammatory cytokines.
