CDH5 and atherosclerosis: Another study that analyzed isovitexin as a candidate for atherosclerosis treatment revealed additional beneficial effects, such as a reduction in total cholesterol levels in the blood of supplemented rats, reduced expression of vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM-1), iNOS, and vascular endothelial cadherin (VE-cadherin) in the aortic segments of diabetic rats.
