Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and eosinophilic otitis media (EOM) are both manifestations of type 2 (Th2-mediated) inflammation, characterized by elevated levels of interleukin (IL)-4, IL-5, and IL-13, leading to eosinophilic infiltration of mucosal tissues [1,2]. Here, IL13 is linked to chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps.
