Lung cancer, strongly linked to tobacco use, is divided into Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) and Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), with mutations in Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR), KRAS, Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK), p53, and RB (Figure 2) playing key roles [27,28]; it is expected to cause over 125,000 deaths from 230,000 cases in 2024 [23,26]. Here, ALK is linked to small cell lung carcinoma.
