While this first part of our review has focused on the pathophysiology of dyslipidemia and the clinical application of conventional therapies, Part II will present an in-depth analysis of emerging lipid-lowering agents—including PCSK9 inhibitors, inclisiran, lomitapide, bempedoic acid, and evinacumab—their clinical effectiveness, safety profiles, and implications for future treatment algorithms. Here, PCSK9 is linked to metabolic syndrome.
