Djukic et al. [43], reported that the GSTO1 AA genotype was associated with a higher likelihood of developing COVID-19 compared with GSTO1 CC (OR 2.45, 95% CI 1.03–5.84, p = 0.044), and similar risk increases were observed for GSTO2 AG (OR 1.91, 95% CI 1.10–3.30, p = 0.020) and GSTO2 GG (OR 3.69, 95% CI 1.62–8.40, p = 0.002) genotypes.
