Noteworthy, we observed that the fold changes of some proteins lost significance after correction for multiple testing in clinical cohort 1 and clinical cohort 2, whereas several proteins showed their strongest effects in the FTLD/AD autopsy cohort (e.g., THOP1, MMP7, ENO2, CCL11, and KAZALD1; Figs. 4A and 5A). This evidence concerns the gene KAZALD1 and Alzheimer disease.
