Mutations of epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) occur more frequently in East-Asia patients (about 50% for lung adenocarcinoma) than in Western patients (10–15%).9,10 EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have markedly altered the therapeutic landscape of NSCLC, leading to the development of targeted therapies that have improved patient outcomes.
