Adjuvant osimertinib for 3 years is recommended for patients with resected EGFR-mutated NSCLC.24,25 The phase II ICOMPARE study demonstrated that 2 years of icotinib improved DFS and OS in patients with stage II-IIIA lung adenocarcinoma without chemotherapy, compared with 1 year of this treatment.30 In EVIDENCE, the treatment duration of icotinib was set to be 2 years.18 However, whether 3, 2, or 1 year, or even half of a year, is the optimal duration for adjuvant EGFR-TKIs remains to be determined due to the lack of formal testing in head-to-head, randomized studies. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
