CRP and Sepsis: Biochemical markers also showed significant associations: each 1 mmol/L increase in median blood glucose increased the odds of sepsis by 7% (OR = 1.07, 95% CI: 1.03–1.1, p < 0.001), each 1 mg/L increase in median CRP increased the odds by 4% (OR = 1.04, 95% CI: 1.03–1.05, p < 0.001), and each 1 μmol/L increase in median creatinine increased the odds by 2% (OR = 1.02, 95% CI: 1.01–1.03, p < 0.001).
