Widmann and colleagues [15], in their observational research, analyzed plasma FGF23 levels in individuals with PHT (n = 627), dilated cardiomyopathy (n = 59) or left ventricular hypertrophy with severe aortic stenosis (n = 35), while participants without left ventricular or right ventricular dysfunction served as controls (n = 36). Here, FGF23 is linked to dilated cardiomyopathy.
