The cancer antigen 125 (CA-125) is a high-molecular-weight glycoprotein of the mucin family that has been extensively studied as a tumor marker in other non-HPV-associated gynecological cancers such as ovarian and endometrial cancers with demonstrated utility in monitoring disease progression, treatment response, and differentiating malignant from benign lesions [34,35,36,37,38,39,40].
