ITAC was the one analyte that stood out as being linked to disease progression; post-infection ITAC values in the upper two terciles were significantly associated with more rapid decline of CD4+ T cells to below 300 compared to post-infection ITAC values in the lower tercile (p = 0.002 Log Rank; p = 0.003 Wilcoxon; Figure 5A).
