Significant differences were observed between the two groups in terms of DII score, gender, age, ethnicity, education level, drinking status, PA level, BMI, WC, waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), SI, SVR, PIR, lymphocytes, neutrophils, CRP, and histories of DM, hypertension, and stroke (all p < 0.05). Here, CRP is linked to diabetes mellitus.
