Interestingly, ASPN-induced phosphorylation of the ErbB family member EGFR at Y845 or Y1173 was undetectable to low in most prostate cancer cell lines assessed, including LNCaP, VCaP, LNCaPenzaR, VCaPenzaR, DU145, and MyC-CaP, especially in comparison with EGF-induced EGFR activation (Supplemental Figure 2, E–J).
