Recently, a tryptophan metabolite derived from P. anaerobius, trans‐3‐indoleacrylic acid (IDA), increased FSP1‐CoQH2 levels via the AHR‐aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A3 (ALDH1A3) axis, thus contributing to ferroptosis resistance in CRC mouse models (Zhang, Kang, and Tang 2024; Cui et al. 2024) (Figure 3C). The gene discussed is ALDH1A3; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
