One further differential diagnosis was performed in our case, due to the high percentage of Ki-67 positive cells (high proliferative index) and the presence of degenerative type nuclear atypia in some centrally located cells, and that was with the malignant counterparts of trichoblastoma, trichoblastic carcinoma, and trichoblastic carcinosarcoma [16,17]. This evidence concerns the gene MKI67 and trichoblastoma.
