A study investigating the binding and killing potency of human EPHB4-CAR-T cells against cynomolgus monkey EPHB4-expressing cells showed that the EPHB4 CAR protein had similar binding potencies to human and cynomolgus monkey EPHB4, and human EPHB4-CAR-T cells recognized and reduced the number of cynomolgus EPHB4-expressing cells, indicating that cynomolgus monkeys could be a potential model for evaluating on-target/off-tumor toxicity (26). This evidence concerns the gene EPHB4 and neoplasm.
