Treatment with GLP1 was also associated with lower risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (sHR 0.69, 95% CI 0.55–0.88), pneumonia (sHR 0.69, 95% CI 0.55–0.86), and respiratory failure or insufficiency (sHR 0.69, 95% CI 0.55–0.87) compared to sulfonylurea.
