Similar upregulation was found for rectum adenocarcinoma (READ) and stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) (data not shown), suggesting that CEBPZ, NOC2L and NOC3L overexpression might contribute to the aggressiveness of these carcinomas, probably by sustaining the high rate of rRNA processing and ribosome activity in these tumors. The gene discussed is NOC3L; the disease is gastric adenocarcinoma.
