KCNK10 and migraine disorder: A particular frameshift mutation of TRESK has been described as closely segregating with migraine phenotype in certain pedigrees of migraine (10, 12, 41, 42, 78, 80, 114, 118, 138, 139, 141, 142, 144, 146, 151–167), and has been shown to have migraine-inducing effect due to its inhibitory effect on TREK-1 and TREK-2 proteins (81–84, 143, 168–170).
