TNFRSF11B and rheumatoid arthritis: Future studies will address these limitations through the following approaches: 1) a randomized, double-blind and controlled clinical trial with a large sample of patients will be conducted to study the effect of SF on bone erosion in patients with RA, with multi-modal imaging to jointly detect bone destruction in patients; 2) implement LC-MS/MS-based untargeted metabolomics to systematically identify bioactive components in SF (particularly flavonoids and saponins) that modulate the RANKL/OPG signaling axis.
