CBD is known to decrease the expression of proinflammatory factors such as NF-κ B and TNFα, which consequently can reduce the inflammatory activity of various pathways that are based on the signaling of these mediators, including interleukins such as IL-6, IL-1,14, IL-5, IL-13, IL-8 and IL-1β, some of which are related to the immunological course of atopic dermatitis (Weidinger et al. 2018; Gęgotek et al. 2021). This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and atopic eczema.
