INS and Stroke: Variables such as age (OR:1.07, 95% CI1.05–1.08; p < 0.001), BMI (OR:0.96, 95% CI 0.94–0.98, p = 0.001), lipid disorders (OR:0.69, 95% CI 0.48–0.92, p = 0.01), stroke (OR:1.43, 95% CI 1.30–1.84, p < 0.001) use of CCBs (OR:0.71, 95% CI 0.48–0.94, p = 0.04), alpha-blockers (OR:0.54, 95% CI 0.23–0.86, p = 0.004), ARBs (OR 0.56, 95% CI 0.29–0.83, p = 0.001), insulin (OR:1.33, 95% CI 1.06–1.73, p = 0.008) were associated with MMSE dichotomized score (R2 = 0.08, p < 0.001).
