In a 2024 study by Strøm et al, 132 patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia defined as levels >20 mmol/L (1,770 mg/dL) without mutations in LPL, APOC2, APOA5, LMF1, and GPIHBP1 underwent serum testing for GPIHBP1 autoantibodies.4 Here, LPL is linked to hypertriglyceridemia.
