The exact pathogenesis of nephrotic syndrome remains unclear; however, immune system dysregulation is known to play a pivotal role.Current researches suggested the involvement of a circulating permeability factor derived from dysfunctional T-cells, with various cytokines particularly TNF-α proposed as potential contributors20. In this study we systematically reviewed 308 G/A SNP in the TNFα gene, thoroughly investigating their potential association with the risk of Childhood NS. Here, TNF is linked to nephrotic syndrome.
