Dysregulated MAP2 phosphorylation has been implicated in a variety of neurological and psychiatric disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia, highlighting the importance of understanding how phosphorylation modulates MAP2’s function (Grubisha et al., 2021; DeGiosio et al., 2019; Zhang and Dong, 2012; Rudrabhatla et al., 2011).
