FOS and cancer: Currently, D-anethole has been widely used in cancer treatment, as it can induce apoptosis, inhibit cancer cell proliferation, and suppress the growth of HL-60 cells while inducing their cell death; it also plays a role in inhibiting certain carcinogenic pathways and oncogenes (such as inhibition of cell proliferation pathways (phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase and other cell proliferation pathway markers) and the expression of c-fos and c-myc oncogenes).
